The Powertome Periotome is a device used to facilitate the extraction of teeth. Through the use of a blade tip moving in an up and down direction, the periodontal ligament is severed allowing easier extraction of a tooth. This course describes the use for the extraction of teeth due to severe caries, trauma, malformation, pathology, and periodontal disease. This course reviews the advantages of using the Powertome Periotome. This course shows several videos of difficult extractions using this device.
