Objectives


At the conclusion of this training, the student will:

 

1.

 Gather the materials needed to pour an appliance impression

 

2.

Prepare an appliance impression for pouring

 

3.

Place an orthodontic band in an impression correctly

 

4.

Secure the band in place so it will not be displaced when pouring the impression

 

5.

 Pour the appliance impression

 

6.

Fabricate an acceptable base for the poured impression

 

7.

Lay the poured impression on the base correctly so the final model is not distorted

 

8.

Remove the impression correctly so the model remains intact and not distorted

 

9.
